Dear Kripps Customer, Constance Fogal,

We at the pharmacy email you for an unusual, urgent purpose. You may have
learned recently from the news media about the controversy over Bill C-51which
has just finished second Parliamentary reading in Ottawa. The Bill will go to
Committee for further study, and then proceed to the third and final reading.
We believe the Bill as currently worded is at best, ambiguous, inconsistent and
wrong-headed, and at worst is potentially dangerous to our consumer health-care
liberties. We believe it deserves citizens' examination (see item # 6 below)
and protest to our elected parliamentarians. We urge you to look into the
matter, and if you feel it justified, to voice your concern to a government
official.

Briefly, our specific concerns are as follows.

1] The prospective law can be used to remove your rightful access to vitamins,
herbs, spices, dietary supplements & medicinal food. Promoted as a means to
protect the safety of Canadians from untested natural health products, Bill C-
51 is a wide-reaching, little publicized and carefully crafted set of
amendments to the federal Food & Drug Act that threatens Canadians rights to
natural health products. Key changes include: replacing the word “drug”
with “therapeutic product” throughout the Act, giving the Canadian Government
broad-reaching powers to regulate the sale of all herbs, spices, vitamins, and
supplements.
C-51 would require all other therapeutic products to go through an even more
costly approval process than the current regulations require, which would be
financially impossible for many natural health product manufacturers to meet,
rendering the products unavailable to the public. Currently, 65% of the
applications to Health Canada are being rejected. In the future, as a possible
result of this legislation, only narrowly defined government approved natural
health products, possibly to be considered “prescription drugs”, would be
available to you - by prescription only!

2] C-51 will result in the outlawing of thousands of beneficial low risk
natural health products. It would grant alarming new “enforcement” powers to
federal inspectors to “protect” Canadians from “dangerous”
unapproved “therapeutic agents”. Without oversight or appeal, products as
benign as, for example, dandelion greens, blueberries, bottled water or vitamin
C could become illegal to possess or distribute. As written, Bill C-51 can
classify your food as a “therapeutic product”.

3] C-51 would also allow federal enforcement agents to raid your home or
business without a warrant, seize your bank accounts, and levy fines up to $5
million with jail terms up to 2 years for selling or drying herbs in your
kitchen, such activity now to be categorized as “controlled activity”. Bill C-
51 allows for the confiscation of your property, and then the charging of
storage fees on that property plus a charge for the government bureaucracy's
time! In effect, such legislation will destroy an industry that is the age-old
alternative to conventional allopathic medicine. Natural medicine works well,
is increasingly scientifically-based, and is traditionally and widely used in
North America, Europe, and Asia. Bill C-51 would criminalize the sale or even
the free distribution of “unapproved natural products”.

We appreciate your consideration of this matter. We believe this Bill should be
stopped in its entirety. Please see below for how you can act to make a
difference in the outcome of this legislation.

Bill C-51 will restrict our

A new law being pushed in Canada by Big Pharma seeks to outlaw up to 60 percent of natural health products currently sold in Canada, even while criminalizing parents who give herbs or supplements to their children. The law, known as C-51, was introduced by the Canadian Minister of Health on April 8th, 2008, and it proposes sweeping changes to Canada's Food and Drugs Act that could have devastating consequences on the health products industry.

Among the changes proposed by the bill are radical alterations to key terminology, including replacing the word "drug" with "therapeutic product" throughout the Act, thereby giving the Canadian government broad-reaching powers to regulate the sale of all herbs, vitamins, supplements and other items. With this single language change, anything that is "therapeutic" automatically falls under the Food and Drug Act. This would include bottled water, blueberries, dandelion greens and essentially all plant-derived substances.

The Act also changes the definition of the word "sell" to include anyone who gives such therapeutic products to someone else. So a mother giving an herb to her child, under the proposed new language, could be arrested for engaging in the sale of unregulated, unapproved "therapeutic substances." The New World Order continues its war on vitamins and minerals by hyping a story on a study from Copenhagen University indicating that taking vitamins increases the risk of death. It is funny how the big media outlets won't focus in on the dangers of psychotropic drugs and other horrific crap created by the major pharmaceutical companies. Instead they choose to hype a story demonizing the use of vitamins citing a study with no specific parameters or information to cross check the validity of what was produced in the study. The globalists are attempting to put companies out of business that produce vitamins and minerals and this is just another salvo being fired in their propaganda campaign to make people believe that vitamins are bad and the crap the pharmaceutical companies come out with is good. Consumption of vitamins are a proven way of maintaining one's health and big pharmaceutical companies don't want people to be healthy because that means they can't sell as much of their junk. This story is just the latest attack in what has been a hard fought war on vitamins and minerals by the globalists.

The war on vitamins and minerals started several decades ago with the inception of the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The Codex Alimentarius Commission was established in 1963 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization. It is recognized by the World Trade Organization as an international body to resolve disputes on food safety and consumer protection. Through the Codex Alimentarius Commission, global regulations are drafted on food safety. Unfortunately, the body has moved to make vitamins, minerals and health supplements subject to all sorts of regulatory restrictions defining these products as foods. They know that they can't make vitamins and minerals illegal outright so instead they are attempting to regulate the vitamin and mineral industry out of business through guidelines and restrictions. The regulatory restrictions are outlined in a document issued by this body entitled, Codex Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements which suffice to say has been a document of much controversy. This is because it regulates vitamins and minerals as foods and it subjects vitamins and minerals to dosage, labeling and composition requirements.

In addition to the Codex Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements document, the European Court in 2005 decided to tighten rules on the sale of vitamins and minerals in Europe. Below is taken from a BBC report on the court decision which ties into the EU Food Supplements Directive. This directive provides even greater regulatory restrictions on vitamins and minerals than the Codex document.

Under the EU Food Supplements Directive, due to come into effect in August, supplements will only be able to include vitamins and minerals taken from an approved list.

Minerals not currently on the approved list include tin, silicon, nickel, boron, cobalt and vanadium.

However, manufacturers of products already on the market will have until the end of December 2009 to change any of the banned ingredients to ensure that their product can continue to be sold in the future.

The globalists are simply attempting to regulate the producers of vitamins and minerals out of business. That's what makes this recent story talking about how vitamins could cause an increased risk death even more ridiculous. What about all the garbage from the pharmaceutical companies that cause all sorts of health problems and in some cases death? The companies even admit this in their own advertisements listing all of the side effects that their drugs cause. The drugs might solve one ailment but the side effects of the product are often worse than the original ailment.

Not only that, but take a look at what they say about the different vitamin types increasing the risk of death. This is a blurb taken directly from the BBC's article on the study.

After various factors were taken into account and a further 20 studies excluded, the researchers linked vitamin A supplements to a 16% increased risk of dying, beta-carotene to a 7% increased risk and vitamin E to a 4% increased risk.

These are all stupid statements because everybody has a 100% chance of dying. The report doesn't get into any specifics about how old the people were in the study and fails to mention a number of other parameters which would be needed in order to analyze the data properly. The whole thing looks as if it is being twisted using fuzzy numbers so they can have a flashy article title that demonizes the use of vitamins.

There is no question that this is a fear-based mind control propaganda campaign to demonize the use of vitamins and minerals so the big pharmaceutical companies can sell more of their drugs. The track record of vitamins has been a good one for many years and there's no doubt that vitamins, minerals and assorted health supplements are a good way to maintain one's health. The majority of comments posted in response to the BBC's article have mostly been positive towards consuming vitamins and negative towards the information in the study. Many of the comments indicated that taking vitamins has helped them with all sorts of ailments.

Simply put the pharmaceutical companies don't want people to maintain their health because they can only sell their products if people are sick. In addition, it is clear through the Codex Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements document and the EU Foods Supplements Directive that there is an effort by the globalists to regulate vitamin and mineral producers out of business. The New World Order wants you to be sick so the big pharmaceutical companies can come in and rape you financially through the sale of their drugs. It is nothing more than a big scam.

Codex adopts more than 20 food standards Sets new guidelines on vitamin supplements; creates antimicrobial resistance taskforce 11 July 2005, Rome/Geneva -- The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) adopted more than 20 new and amended food standards during its annual meeting, the food standards body announced today. Among the measures adopted were guidelines on vitamin and mineral food supplements and a code of practice to minimize and contain antimicrobial resistance.

Some 120 countries were represented at this year's Codex session, plus the European Community, a member organization. Codex is an international food standards-setting body established by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). It has 172 members, all of which are members of FAO or WHO or both.

Vitamin and mineral food supplements guidelines

The CAC adopted global guidelines for vitamin and mineral food supplements as one of its first decisions. The guidelines recommend labeling that contains information on maximum consumption levels of vitamin and mineral food supplements, assisting countries to increase consumer information, which will help consumers use them in a safe and effective way.

According to WHO, the guidelines ensure that consumers receive beneficial health effects from vitamins and minerals.

The guidelines say that people should be encouraged to select a balanced diet to get the sufficient amount of vitamins and minerals. Only in cases where food does not provide sufficient vitamins and minerals should supplements be used.

Antimicrobial resistance task force

Codex tentatively agreed to a task force addressing antimicrobial resistance. A formal decision is set for next year. WHO, FAO and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) have developed guidelines for the prudent use of antimicrobials in treatment of human illnesses and animal production, which the task force will carry forward to ensure food safety.

Antimicrobial resistance had been debated for several years and agreement has been difficult because it involves collaboration from different sectors: animal health and production, human health and drug manufacturing. The new task force will bring all these sectors together and develop a holistic approach to this growing problem.

Resistance to antimicrobial drugs such as antibiotics, is an emerging public heath problem caused by a number of factors, including the inappropriate use of antibiotics in humans; antibiotic treatment of illnesses in animals used for human consumption and, in some cases, to promote faster growth. The use of antimicrobials as pesticides is also a factor in antimicrobial resistance.

Resistant microorganisms developed in animals used for human consumption may be transmitted to humans mainly by contaminated food. For example, resistant strains of salmonella and other food-borne microorganisms are now frequently encountered, limiting the effective treatment of human infections, which in some cases can result in death.

In other decisions, the CAC decided to split the Codex Committee on Food Additives and Contaminants into separate committees beginning in 2007, in order to deal more effectively with each issue.

No standard planned on Parmesan cheese

On the issue of intellectual property concerns regarding the labeling and composition of Parmesan cheese, no consensus was reached and the CAC put the issue on hold allowing interested countries to continue consultations among themselves to seek a resolution of the issue. However, no date was set for the Commission to revisit this matter.

Dr Stuart Slorach, the out-going CAC Chairman, said: "This has been an extremely productive session. Even though only one year has passed since the last CAC meeting, we adopted over 20 standards which, when used appropriately, will better protect consumer health and improve their confidence in the products they consume . Moreover, we took important steps this week to involve partner organizations in the setting of these standards and to make the structure of Codex more efficient."

Elections at the 28th session of Codex resulted in the first ever CAC Chairman from an African country. Dr Claude Mosha of Tanzania was elected to the post for a term of one year and is eligible to stand for a second one-year term.

The CAC meeting ran from 4 July through 9 July.

The National Health Federation had argued the guidelines should be re-considered, because they are contravening the World Health Organization's own procedural rules, alas to no avail:(

1. The guidelines do not state what purpose they serve, although that is required by Codex rules adopted as recently as a year ago, but well before the November 2004 Nutrition Committee meeting that finalized the text.

2. There is no clear definition as to what vitamins and minerals are covered by these guidelines. Although supplements "should contain vitamins, provitamins and minerals recognized by FAO and WHO", according to the text, there is actually no publication of the FAO or WHO that provides lists of recognized vitamins, provitamins and minerals.

3. Certain countries are exempted from the application of the guidelines. Those countries that consider vitamins and other nutrients should be regulated as drugs are exempted. This means harmonization of different national laws, the goal of all Codex activity, is not being forwarded by the guidelines.

I might add that, while the guidelines ask for restrictions on supplements in the comparatively liberal countries, the really backwards view of "nutrition is really medicine and any of those nutritional supplements are drugs" is acknowledged as being quite acceptable. Indeed, one of the amendments to the guidelines was Australia's demand to emphasize that "These Guidelines apply only in those jurisdictions where products ... are regulated as foods".

Go figure.

Could Vitamins Be Outlawed in America?
There is growing concern among many of the manufacturers of vitamins supplements and their consumers in the United States that severe restrictions could be placed on the products they make and buy for their health if a group called Codex Alimentarius gets their way.
Any decision made by Codex supposedly supersedes national, state or local laws that may be in place according to certain world trade agreements. This is a problem in countries like the United States where vitamin supplements taken by tens of millions of Americans are readily available for people who want to purchase them on virtually every street corner. But Codex is apparently working behind-the-scenes to concoct strict rules and spread rumors about the safety of supplements as if they were prescription drugs...

There are two distinct approaches to vitamins, both with nuances. One approach sees the main purpose of supplements as preventing diseases caused by deficiencies, like scurvy, beriberi and pellagra. The early quasi-official "recommended daily allowances," which have been revised only slightly, are based loosely, without allowance for individual biochemical or environmental differences, on the amounts of nutrients needed to prevent deficiencies that lead to deadly diseases.

Other researchers, including Linus Pauling (who developed the concept of "molecular disease" after DNA was discovered), Denham Harman (the free-radical theory of aging) and Roger Williams (biochemical and nutritional individuality) began to develop and test the idea that there might be levels of nutrients that not only prevented deadly diseases but improved health and ameliorated the aging process. Since the late 1950s studies have suggested strongly that the intake of certain vitamins can reduce the risk of numerous diseases, including heart disease and cancer.

World food experts refute this model by stating that natural vitamin A supplements can offer developing countries thirty times as much social improvement as one dollar of development aid.

Turner recommends that vitamin and mineral guidelines should be evaluated by nutritional science rather than the toxicological science used to evaluate toxins. JULY 5, 2005. As many of you now know, yesterday Codex officially certified its own plan to limit the sales of nutritional supplements.

Yesterday was July 4.

US Independence Day.

Codex's Rome conference had been scheduled to begin on the 4th for some time.

The coincidence is too great to be an accident.

This was a piece of ritual.

"On the anniversary of your independence, we take a giant step toward curtailing your freedom."

America is the most formidable target for Codex, and Codex did not miss the opportunity to make its move on the 4th.

Codex and so-called free trade are, of course, linked. One of the faces of free trade is "harmonization" of national laws under a larger umbrella. That umbrella is being built by men who are devoted to a future in which all national distinctions and sovereignties are erased.

As I've written in these pages for four years, health and the choices surrounding it are in the cross-hairs of the globalists for a very good reason: if natural health and the means to achieve it are chopped down, what will be left are universally dispensed toxic drugs, illness, and the resulting weakness which will induce widespread passivity.

A passive population can be managed with greater ease toward ANY political goal.

A passive population can be manipulated and fooled and herded into ANY future.

Codex is an arm of that globalism which has a very specific political goal and future in mind.

In brief, it is the rule of the many by the few, behind the cover story of: "we are doing all this because we care about you and we want to protect you and help you and save you from the ruinous conflicts of the past."

You will, of course, notice that much of that language is also used by medical tyrants who seek to impose their pharmaceutical model on the planet.

When at least 100,000 people in the US alone die every year from the prescription of FDA-approved medical drugs, when 2 million people each year in the US are hospitalized as a result of those drugs, and when 22 million serious adverse reactions to those drugs occur in the US every year, you can begin to perceive the outlines of this chemical war.

The single greatest resistant force to this chemical onslaught is natural health and all the strategies that compose it.

You need to post many times a day on every internet group that you belong to the real situation and tell everyone that they are losing the basic right to even take vitamins. Don't be shy. This is some of the BIGGEST NEWS to hit the planet.

The thing that has been lacking in this fight is that the people leading this fight keeps playing into the hands of the enemy by only concentrating on playing the rigged game that is controlled by their enemies.

The real decision will be played out in the court of world opinion by the populations of each country affected, but that fight has been lost so far because those people aren't even aware of what is going on and what they are about to lose. The reason that these Codex people have been winning all along is because they are doing it on the sly and keeping most everyone in the dark about what underhanded efforts are underway. They want to keep us focused on the rigged game.

They are like cockroaches that come out under cover of darkness shielded from the light of truth. What we need to do is shine that light of truth on them. Not debate them, not play their game, but attack with the truth. Shine the light on these bastards and let everyone see them for the vermin that they are. Some of that vermin will be politicians in your own countries. You will need to shine that light on them as well.

I don't care what laws have already been passed or what they do about them. Tell them that you are no longer going to play in a crooked game that you had no chance of winning anyway. Attack the bastards day by day, every day, in the only media that was ever available to the people anyway. Attack them all over the web. Attack them a hundred times a day if at all possible. Attack them in Japanese, attack them in French, attack them in whatever languages that you can communicate in. Send the info to all of your friends that speak a different language and ask them to traslate your letter of information and then ask your friend to join the fight too.

To those web page makers and to those graphic designers out there make many banners, photos, etc. and post them on public spots so that others can use them to put on random web pages, etc. If you can write, then write something and post it around and make it available so others who have difficulty writing can use it to post all over.

You are really fighting for your lives, the lives of your families, the lives of the future members of your family. Yes, your ranks are small, but they will grow fast if the light of truth is spread to the world.

Take a few people in hand that do not know how to fight and become a band of 2, 3, 4, or 10 guerilla fighters in your band.

The message is simple and dramatic. You are losing the right to take any vitamins. It must be said over and over and over till everyone in the world is saying it too. If you are not willing to do that then set down, shut up and prepare to get in line for your Prozac, Vioxx, etc, and any other police state things that are bound to come along afterwards.

Don't tell other vitamin people about it and feel that you have "done your part" Hell that is what that has been going on all along. You have to take your fight to the averge people in the streets. The streets of the internet. Every block, every house, every chat room, every bulletin board, every group, every web site, every online publication, every god damned place on the web. You need to shine the light of truth on the cockroaches that are undermining your life and undermining the health of the world.

Now get off your butts and go do something, Anything. Don't you belong to a few groups? Start there. Do you know any web page owners? If you don't it doesn't make any difference. Start there too. You don't need to know them. All you need to know is that they need to know. Write them a letter that you have prepared explaining what is going on. Send it to them and keep revising and editing your letter till it sounds great. Keep posting it to other web page owners. Keep posting it to any and all forms of media on the web. Post it to the Indy media outlets. Post it to the people motivating groups like Move on and others. Post it on every Mom and Pop web page in the world. Take a piece of virtual chalk and write it on the sidewalks and buildings of the virtual world.

You are in a fight for your lives right now, so is it going to be you or them? Now, get of your butts and do it.
